Lay bricks, concrete blocks and other materials to construct or repair walls, arches and other structures
Cut and shape bricks and other materials to fit around doors, windows and other openings
Interpret blueprints and other construction plans to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure being built
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
Keep the work area clean and tidy, and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained
Work as a team with other bricklayers and tradesmen, such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians
